Dragonn: FIFA scene is growing massively
During the first day of MODECOM Legia eSports Cup we have talked with a player of West Ham United, Sean „Dragonn” Allen. British player eventually have placed third after losing to Tim Schwartmann of FC Schalke 04.
Recently many professional football clubs have decided to expand into esports. You’ve been a player of West Ham United since May this year. What are your thoughts about esports scene becoming popular among the biggest European football clubs?
It’s exciting. If you go back 5 years ago you would never think football clubs would get involved in esports and now they have. It’s growing massively. We have a tournament here in Warsaw with 10 players representing different clubs. It’s great.
MODECOM Legia eSports Cup is one of the first event of this kind. How do you like this tournament so far?
There’s lots of good players here. I’m just excited to be here and really happy to be a part of this tournament.
How do you see the future of FIFA scene? Do you think that we will see more events like this in the next months?
I think it’s growing a lot and will be even bigger in the future. Now there’s two Premier League teams in and I think it’s going to be so much more. We have teams from Germany, France, Spain and obviously now there is also Legia Warsaw. I think it’s going to be bigger and bigger.
I would like to ask you about your career plans. Do you have any specific goal?
In the past I have lost in two World Cup finals (FIWC 16 and ESWC 14). I hope I will finally win the World title.
