Winner of Puskas award drops football to begin esports career

27-year-old Wendell Lira who scored the most beautiful goal of 2015 and thanks to that won Puskas award over e.g. Leo Messi and Carlos Tevez, decided to drop his football career to begin esports one.  From now on the Brazilian will focus on playing FIFA and starting up a YouTube channel.

Wendell has already started paving his way to big esports world by beating the winner of FIWC 2015, Pabdulaziz Alshehri 6-1 after being challenged by him. He hopes to turn his hobby into real career and pursue his dreams. Not only will he focus on playing FIFA professionally but will also try to start up a YouTube channel.

Wendell Lira’s last club during his career was Vila Nova. He was also part of Brazil U-20 national team.
